FAQ

  • How do I include an IUL or annuity illustration?
Before you are able to copy the illustration into the model you will need to be sure you have Adobe software installed on your computer so you can open the PDF. If you do not open the PDF in Adobe software it will not paste into the spreadsheet correctly. The link below is to Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available for free. Adobe Acrobat Reader Once you are able to open the PDF of the illustration in Adobe software you will need to complete the following steps: Select the 'Other Navigation' button and then select the appropriate illustration option. There are four illustration options wherein you can include illustrations for your client. Only one iullstration option is available for the spouse of the client. The difference between these two is due to the potential of age difference between the client and their spouse. Select an 'Illustration Type' in the small yellow cell in the upper left. This will determine which partner and illustration type you plan to include in the model. For Allianz IUL illustrations and Allianz and Americo Annuity illustrations watch the following video. Now click in the upper left corner of the large yellow cell. Now go to Adobe to the illustration PDF. Highlight and copy the details of the illustration. Go back to the 'Retirement Investment Model' and paste the data into the upper left most cell in the large yellow section. The data may appear to be all together. If this is the case you can select the 'Format Pasted Data' button, which will properly format the data into the appropriate columns. You will probably also want to make Adobe Reader the default application for opening a '.pdf". To make it the default click on this LINK and follow the instructions. #RetirementInvestmentModel #401kCalculator
